Every four years, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) conduct a Certification Review of the Collier Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) (Bonita Springs TMA) transportation planning process as required by law.  The purpose of this review is to evaluate the MPO’s compliance with Federal transportation rules and regulations.  As part of the review, a site visit will be held on July 23, 2024, from 8:30 a.m., through 5 p.m., for which virtual public observation is welcome.

Part of the review includes an opportunity for the public to provide comments on how the Collier MPO carries out the transportation planning process.  Your comments will be submitted to Carlos A. Gonzalez, FHWA, and Brandon Oliver, FTA.  Comments can be submitted during the virtual public meeting, through the FHWA FL Division Website, by phone, or by email.  You can provide comments from July 23, 2024, through August 22, 2024.  Comments received by August 22 will be considered in the writing of the report.
